Publishers get things wrong sometimes. A system that publishes at our scale is no exception. When we learn of an error, we fix it.

How to Report a Problem

Email help@govfacts.org or use our contact page. Please include:

  1. A link to the article.
  2. What is inaccurate, out of date or unclear.
  3. A source, if you have one.

Our goal is to read every message within 48 hours.

What We Do With a Report

We re-check the claim against authoritative sources. If the article is wrong, we correct it. If the facts have changed since the article was written, we update it. Either way, the page gets a new “Last Checked” date.

Regular Re-Checks

We do not wait for reports. Articles built by the Engine are re-checked on a schedule, and each shows when it was last checked and when its next check is due.

Older Articles

Articles published before the GovFacts Engine are in the process of being rebuilt to the current standard.
